Years of dreaming and planning are becoming reality for the 2012 Inspiration Home. From neighborhood site selection to the smallest interior detail, this luxury home is a remarkable example of the latest in residential design and extraordinary living. February 2012

The Manor at Hollingsworth Park was chosen as the site for this spectacular home. Several lots along this side of the community back up to a dedicated area of natural green space, creating a private setting within an urban location. At two weeks into construction, grading and clearing concludes.

March 2012

This photograph, showing great framing progress, was taken at approximately six weeks into construction. The terrace level of the home has 12’ high engineered foundation walls and an engineered floor system, bringing the first floor of the home to curb level.

April 2012

At 10 weeks from breaking ground, the home begins to be dressed with a unique wall sheathing product that provides superior protection in comparison to traditional house wrap. At this point more than 200 individuals have been involved in the home’s progress.

May 2012

The Inspiration Home is completely in the dry at an impressive fourteen weeks. Inside the home, rough mechanical work—including plumbing, heating & air, electrical and other service wiring—are being completed to make way for insulation and drywall.

June 2012

The addition of a lifetime architectural shingle makes a statement. At the same time, brick work begins on the 11,220 sq. ft. structure. A locally sourced limestone and copper detail will soon follow. Now at eighteen weeks, the home begins to come to life.

July 2012

On July 23rd, presenting sponsors for the tour were invited to join the development team for a preliminary tour of the home under construction. Even in a very rough state of construction, attendees could not hold back their amazement. Every space in the home has a story and presents fine materials and craftsmanship.

Numerous suppliers and product sponsors have been instrumental in the home’s current phase of development. As construction continues, we will highlight stories in the product showcase section of this website.

August 2012

Hitting the six-month mark in construction, the bulk of the work moves to the interior of the home where incredible attention to detail is taking place. Heavy wainscoting throughout the foyer and ceiling and hand-scraped French oak floors are examples of fine finishing.

September 2012

A view from poolside provides an impressive display of the back of the home. Outdoor living is a focus with main and terrace level relaxation spaces that include a cozy fireplace, cedar ceilings and stone covered archways.

October 2012

Now with eight months of construction behind, the front elevation begins to sparkle. A custom Spanish cedar door will soon welcome visitors of the eight-day public tour.

November 2012
